Overview
Step back in time and explore the ancient capital of Japan on a luxurious journey tailored just for you. Your day begins with a private pickup from your Tokyo hotel in a luxury van, ensuring a comfortable and seamless experience. As we travel to Kamakura, a city steeped in samurai history and Zen Buddhism, you’ll be transported to a world where tradition meets natural beauty.
Our first stop is the majestic Tsurugaoka Hachimangu Shrine, the spiritual heart of Kamakura, where you’ll stroll through serene grounds and witness centuries-old rituals. Next, we’ll visit the enchanting Hasedera Temple, famous for its stunning wooden architecture, beautiful gardens, and panoramic views of the coastline. No visit to Kamakura is complete without marveling at the iconic Great Buddha at Kōtoku-in, a monumental bronze statue that has stood majestically since the 13th century. For lunch, we’ll dine at a charming local restaurant known for its authentic cuisine and warm hospitality, offering a true taste of Kamakura’s culinary delights.
In the afternoon, we’ll head to Enoshima Island, a picturesque seaside escape connected by bridge to the mainland. Here, you can explore coastal shrines, enjoy the beach atmosphere, and take in the breathtaking ocean views. Throughout the day, you’ll experience the perfect blend of cultural immersion, historical exploration, and coastal relaxation, all personalized to your interests. If time allows, or if you wish, we will end the day at an incredible Onsen, unwinding in the thermal baths of one of Japan’s most cherished relaxation sanctuaries.
As this is a private tour (with a private guide), you can tailor every step and detail to your preferences, or leave it up to us.
